"I loved ideas. I loved building. I loved creating…"
Spring is so close. The wind says otherwise. I’m on the backend of a cold and cannot stop drinking fresh lemon and ginger tea. I am tapped out of today’s “tv” and somehow landed on binge watching vintage Martha Stewart episodes and it’s been rather restorative, and inspiring. Now, all I want to do is bake delicious things and garden. The more I dig into Martha, the more I’m enamored, such an interesting, industrious character.
The Event of Spring is coming up, Springfield Museum’s “Festival of Flowers”. I’m so happy to be amongst beautiful art pieces— the historic collection of the museums and the entrant’s fresh flower creations. It’s a lovely community of folks who both attend and contribute and I’m always excited to see how people interpret the work. My selection this year (a secret right now) is an abstract piece and will be much more paired back than my previous entries, an exercise in restraint. Minimalism is intimidating is it not?
I might as well leave you on a Martha high, here is the recipe I’ve been drinking from the icon herself.
